| Summary | 0001514: Sometimes the youtube can't play the 4K contents under "External Device" setting. | ||||
| Description | I faced the issue that the youtube playback failed sometimes after change the audio option as "External Device". But, I didn't find the exact way to reproduce it. And, I found a similar issue like above. The reproduce step is as follows. 1. Change the audio output to "External Device" refer to the attached document(Audio output setting.pdf) 2. Go to Youtube and play any 4K contents. 3. If the Youtube playback succeed, then press "Back" key and play the same content again. 4. Play about 10~20 times, you can see the black screen. Please refer to the attached video. FYI, I didn't test this issue with non-4K TV. The tested content is "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NZQrv7uLeQ", but you can see this issue with other 4K contents. Thank you. | ||||

Hi Sanmin, Could you let me know the version of FW version/YouTube? Regarding this issue, when the issue is reproduced, if you press BACK button and play the same video again, the issue still exists? or this issue is gone ? Thanks, Jason |

Hi Sanmin, I tried to reproduce the problem this morning. I tried 100 times and didn't see a problem FW: 19.534.17 YT: 2.18.009 |

HI Jason. I agree your report. the youtube version which happen this ticket issue is 2.17.006/web_20220713_10_RC00. I also tested based on 2.18.009 at several times. however, I don't find same issue. we will test it in next version again. Jason.park. |

Hi, Jason Ling, Jason Park's test step is little different from mine. I can reproduced this issue with 19.534.16 and YT 2.18.009. And, this issue was reproduced not only "External Device" but also "Btv". It's easy to reproduce in case of you press the "OK" button immediately after press the "BACK" button. But, I'm not sure this reproduce step is reasonable or not. |

Hi Sangmin, I've checked your reproduce steps, if I apply it, I can reproduce it on Amlogic/Synaptics ref borad. I also can reproduce it on Sony Panel TV (built in Android TV OS) In my opinion, I think this reproduce steps is not reasonable, Google will treat this issue as the lowest priority, such issues are usually ignored and automatically closed after a few months. |

Hi, Jason Ling, Ok, I see. If you think so, please don't check this issue any more. I also agreed. But, there is still Youtube play issue under "External Device", I didn't find the exact way to reproduce it. I will update when I find the way to reproduce. |
